Bioinformatician with ten years of experience in the field. I have worked on a range of projects in both the clinical and basic research sphere.
Work Experience
Bioinformatics Analyst III
Support the Physiology Department with their NGS assay analysis.
- Experience includes bulk and single-cell RNA-Seq analysis, CLIP-Seq, ATAC-Seq, etc.
Bioinformatics Support Analyst
Support the development of NGS pipelines to report actionable genomic variants discovered by the suite of diagnostic NGS assays.
- Responsible for upkeep of clinical bioinformatics pipeline.
- Published a peer-reviewed article in BBMT.
Bioinformatics Research Assistant
I developed NGS analysis pipelines for both RNA-Seq and WES data. Wrote scripts to identify de novo germline and somatic homozygous variants to aid in clinical diagnosis of rare Mendelian diseases.
Data Analyst
Identified causes and proposed solutions to issues in wastewater treatment via analysis of bacterial 16S rRNA sequencing results, water chemistry data, and process information. Prepared client reports based on this data.
Software Development Intern
Improved a compatibility module between JSBML and CellDesigner, tools used in biochemical network modeling.
Bioinformatics Data Intern
Algorithm development and data curation for utilization in the clinical variant analysis software package Carpe Novo.
